Year in Review – 2019

It’s hard to believe that another year has gone by and even harder still to think that we are at the beginning stages of an entirely new decade.  We at NBM are celebrating our 35th year in business in 2020 and are grateful for so many things.

 

First and foremost, we would like to thank our loyal customers for a great 2019.  NBM has had ten straight years of growth and that would not be possible without you.  Secondly, we feel so fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated staff available to provide end user support.  More than 50% of our employees have been with the company for ten years or longer.  We have eighteen people with twenty plus years of service and seven of those have been with the company for over thirty years.  As a locally owned, privately held dealership, NBM has a unique ability to provide exceptional products and services across a wide range of technologies.

 

NBM received several prestigious awards this year both on the national level and closer to home. We were again recognized as an Elite Dealer by the national publication ENX Magazine for 2019.  NBM is the only dealer in our category to receive this prestigious award in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine.  We also earned the Hyakuman Kai Elite Award from Sharp signifying over $5 Million in wholesale purchases.  NBM is the largest Sharp MFP dealer in New England and among the top eight nationwide.  In addition, Massachusetts Lawyers’ Weekly named NBM the BEST office equipment dealer in 2019 based on reader satisfaction surveys.  We are also a Silver Partner with HP giving us the opportunity to offer unique programs that most printer service companies cannot match.  We are proud and humbled to be recognized for our achievements by these organizations.

 

We experienced growth across the company this year, particularly in our Managed Print Services division and in the A/V space where we more than doubled our installations.  Both Sharp and Ricoh have exciting products coming out in the digital display and smart board categories.  We are committed to continuing the growth in our Managed Network Services group and have made significant investments in our cybersecurity practice to remain on the cutting edge of cyberattacks.  This is the single biggest risk facing small to midsize businesses today.

 

We are busting at the seams in our corporate headquarters in Burlington so we broke ground on an 11,000 square foot addition at the end of 2019.  The addition will provide both additional office and warehouse space to accommodate our growth.  The project completion date is scheduled for summer 2020.  Stay tuned for information on an open house/anniversary celebration.
